I consider myself a serious composer and songwriter. It’s one of my greatest pleasures to help others achieve their goal of writing songs that they feel good about. I’ve found that most people who aspire to compose their own music naturally come up with really great sounding ideas. What they are often lacking is theoretical knowledge and/or pure playing experience, which hinders their ability to expand on and react to their initial musical intuition. This leaves many people with a number of little, cool ideas that they don’t know what to do with. I can help you with getting unblocked and filling in all of the gaps that might be holding you back from writing the music you’ve always wanted to write.
In addition to working on the act of creating original material by expanding the understanding of compositional options, I also will work with you to execute your own ideas with the best possible technique and performance energy by essentially rehearsing together as a duo. Once your piece is complete and well rehearsed, another great option is to record it. Recording and listening back to your own music is a fantastic way to reflect on the sounds you are creating, which can lead to vast improvements in areas that may have otherwise been left unattended. We can simply record for the sake of listening back and improving, but what’s even more fun is making a quality sounding demo of your own song – something you can keep with you forever and share with your friends and family.
